08-08-08 In World’s Largest Bird’s Nest

Can hold up to 91,000 BIRDS!!!

After the heart-breaking Sichuan Tragedy that took countless life, today’s big event is promises to put some smile back to those mourners. A communist bloc who used to bolt its doors cutting outsiders, China is throwing a big party today. With a record 205 countries participating in Beijing Olympics, China is set to be the best organizer in the history of Olympic.

Today’s curtain raiser is a must-win “competition” because it could reveal the soul of China. Can Zhang Yimou shoulder this grueling task of compressing 5,000 years of Chinese History into one evening? I’m sure the 15,000 performers will do their best for this once-in-a-lifetime representation. Will the 91,000 spectators in the colossal Bird’s Nest get what they want?

After a decade of lobbying, construction and controversy, 08-08-08 harbinger to silent critics who say Communist China do not deserve to hold the biggest event in history. Will Steven Spielberg regret his action? Will the Tibetan Monks dampen the Olympics for one last try or will China’s weather wreak havoc and foil Zhang Yimou’s plan? Will the power of 8 save China this time?

Catch all the actions live tonight at 8 p.m.! You don’t want to miss it. I’m sure Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will watch it too. I would like to take this opportunity to wish our Malaysian Contingent all the best. Hopefully we can finally end our Gold drought! Malaysia BOLEH!!!
