Yupe, you heard me. Another 5 more days and we will be celebrating Chinese New Year on the 7th of February! and it will officially end on the 21st February which mark the final days of the festival by celebrating Chap Goh Meh! I really can't wait. It's really one of the most anticipated festival of all (for me at least). Every year, before its advent we will be busy preparing every thing from decorations to cookies, from buying new apparels to sending out festival greeting cards. Yay! Can't wait (drooling!) =)

Then when the day has finally arrived, we would greet our parents, other relatives and friends. We will visits them from house to house. Stuff lots of cookies and can drinks into our mouth (what happen to healthy lifestyle?). And for those who is still not married, then you are still eligible to receive and pao (or red packet in chinese). And yeah, I wonder if I can still get to play fireworks this year. (note: playing fireworks is illegal in Malaysia, so be careful. Besides you don't want to lose your fingers right?) And I can't wait to hear the beatings of the drums and lion dance. Tong! Tong! Chiang! =)

Well, I'm going back to my hometown later. Malacca. So to everyone out there who is celebrating Chinese New Year, I want to take this opportunity to say Gong Xi Fa Cai. And for those who don't celebrate, you can still join the fun. Visit your friends who celebrate. Don't forget to take ang pao from them ya. Hey, where's mine?
