It is the time of the year again~the time for celebration, good foods, bonding and most importantly it is the time to forgive each other and let bygones be bygones. So selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all my Muslim friends. After one month of unbelievable fasting, Muslims across the globe will be celebrating one of the biggest festivals in the calender. I am still in awe with how Muslims can fast for one month, I don't think I could even survive day 1. Ha :D
Yesterday was the last day of Ramadan and we were all on the way back home to Taiping from Malacca. We embarked on our homecoming journey around 5:30a.m. in the morning and arrived 5 hours later inclusive of 2 pit stops that we made for breakfast and to answer nature's calls. Surprisingly there was no jam at all. Perhaps we hit the road at the right time? Then again we enjoyed our "balik kampung" trip as much as our Muslims counterpart and Sudirman's Balik Kampung song kept on echoing in my mind while I was driving. :)
Last evening, my father-in-law received some cookies, cakes, rendang chicken and ketupat-lemang from his friend and neighbours. :) We really enjoyed the ketupat-lemang which was deliciously wrapped to perfection. Hereby, again I would like to wish all my Muslim friends~Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri. May you guys enjoy your holidays with your beloved ones.
