Public holiday because of Suzuki Cup triumph? I can't believe that we will have a public holiday this Friday for winning our very first AFF Suzuki Cup! Despite losing 1-2 to Indonesia in Bung KarnoStadium, the Malaysia team still won the AFF Suzuki Cup Final with a 4-2 aggregate over our arch rival Indonesia. So last night our prime minister has declared tomorrow, Friday (31st of December 2010) as a national public holiday for our historic maiden AFF-Suzuki Cup!
The announcement was made last night by Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, who congrulated the Malaysian football team for making the country proud. "Well done, Malaysian Tigers! You played well as a team and have made your country very proud. Congratulations!" Najib wrote in his Twitter last night! It is truly a sweet victory for Malaysia as we have not won anything for such a long time in football. Like I mentioned last night, I hope this success will propel Malaysia to achieve more footballing feats in the future. Maybe Olympic, World Cup...who knows right?
Again congratulation to Malaysia
for winning the AFF Suzuki Cup.
P.S.: Thanks for the public holiday. Now more Malaysians will see you guys as heroes. LOL :D
