Today is the last day of Chinese New Year which is Chap Goh Meh. So what have you done and what will you do later folks? Last minute house-visiting? Last day of gambling with your mahjong-kakis? Or last day of having reunion dinner with your family members? As for the younger generation especially kids, their joy will come to an abrupt end today because no more ang pow. Haha :D But as for me Chap Goh Meh is all about offering prayers to Gods and ancestors as it is the 15th of the lunar month. Woke up early today for prayers. Then later we went to the temple along Jonker Street to offer our prayers.

Throngs of people were flocking in and out of the little temple when we reached there. People from all walks of life can be seen here today. From old folks with walking sticks to a few-months-old baby in portable cradle. Everyone wants to pray for their well-being. I bet today must be a very good day for us to pray huh! Let's see why shall we?

Apparently a lot of people wanted to get their hands on these small "little red packets" that will fulfill their wishes. We can only get these little red packets today. That's a lot of people are pushing and shoving to get them. Of course we also took quite a number these different little red packets for blessings and for protection purposes. There are coins inside of it and we should use them in order for it to take effect. :) All in all yours truly me took around 8 of these little red packets:

Of course most importantly I wish that my family will always be healthy, safe and blessed. Then again I hope the 7th little red packet will do its magic for me. :p So if you wanna change your luck for the year of the tiger, perhaps you can go to your nearest temple and grab a few of these magical little red packets. Who knows? You wish(es) may come true right?
