In honouring its 55th anniversary of the Seiko 5 Sports watch, the watch manufacturer has released four ‘Customise’ limited-edition watches in homage to the historic model. Behold the exclusive Seiko 5 Sports Customise Limited Edition. For each colourway, there will only be 1,968 pieces up for grabs. So in total, there will be 7,872 pieces of Seiko 5 Sports Customise Limited Edition watches available.

Each piece in the Seiko 5 Sports 'Customise' Limited Edition collection was created by fans who participated in the 'Customise' contest. Fans were given the freedom to design their own versions of the Seiko 5 Sports watch while referencing the original 1968 model for the contest. The final four contestants were selected based on the number of votes they received, each representing a distinct region or country, including Europe, the Americas, Japan, and Asia.

Seiko 5 Sports Customise Limited Edition: The European Design

The European design edition is distinguished by its orange dial and sporty bezel. In contrast, the Americas design edition has a more traditional aesthetic with a black dial, a monochrome bezel, and gold-toned indexes. On the other hand, the Japan design timepiece takes on a more simple outlook, as the entire dial and bezel are doused fully in a silver tint, while Arabic digits are eliminated from the bezel.

Seiko 5 Sports Customise Limited Edition: The Americas Design

Regarding the Asia design edition, the piece is copper-coloured from head to toe and has a gold-plated stainless steel case. To complement the extravagant appearance, the bezel is burgundy with white indications and numbers. The indices are likewise highlighted with the same copperish colour, while the hour, minute, and second hands come with silver accents.

Seiko 5 Sports Customise Limited Edition: The Asia Design

Each variation will be released as a limited edition of 1,968 pieces, featuring a 42.5mm case size and Seiko's 4R36 automatic and manual winding movement. The watches are currently available for pre-order via Seiko's official website and select boutiques, with prices ranging from £270 to £340 (about $325 to $410 USD).
