The partnership takes on a nostalgic tone as Staple drew from Fossil's archives to create a collection that embraces both of their creative perspectives. "For the STAPLE x Fossil watches, we combined the traditions of both companies to create something fresh that collectors would love," he explains.

The best of both worlds?

The extensive histories of both brands are highlighted through graphics inspired by the concept of time that genuinely carries viewers through time. The new watches incorporate features from archival Fossil timepieces and original, whimsical embellishments that reflect Staple's inventive attitude. The partnership is completed by an egg-shaped casing, which contributes to the archive tale.

What's Underneath the Sundials?

The collection's three hues reintroduce iconic '90s Fossil models, including the Sundial and the Hologram. With these new variations, the sundial design incorporates the STAPLE pigeon as the brand's logo. A mind-blowing secret hologram dial is revealed when you flip it open. Inside, you can feast your eyes on the alternating of a pigeon in flight and the STAPLE logo. Interestingly, the logo is superimposed over a 3D image of a fish-eye (you guess it) STAPLE symbol.

Fossil Brand General Manager Melissa Lowenkron claimed that the company was thrilled to collaborate with Jeff Staple. The latter is a pioneer in streetwear who shares Fossil's passion for product innovation. Our design team enjoyed working with Jeff to build a distinctive watch, digital smartwatch dials, and NFT for a new generation of Fossil enthusiasts, watch wearers, and collectors.

The Beautiful Sundial For Your Wrist

Fans got to feast their eyes on the collection on the second annual STAPLE DAY back in June. As usual, an event was also organised in New York to launch this unique collaboration. The event slogan was aptly named "Timing Is Everything!" by Fossil. Jeff Staple conducted the panel discussion with creative consultant Nick Wooster and artist Westside Gunn.

A Timepiece From The Past?

In addition, STAPLEVERSE built an exclusive STAPLE x Fossil NFT that allowed members of the STAPLEVERSE community to reserve a watch prior to the public release. This unique STAPLE X Fossil Sundial Wristwatch collection was released on July 14, following the panel discussion on July 13.
