If you want a great place to have "Buka Puasa" or "Iftar" with your family and friends, I am sure you will love the Ramadan Buffet Dinner at Swiss-Garden Hotel Melaka. Yours truly me and my family had a feast fit for a king at this international 4-star hotel for its Ramadhan Buffet dinner, and boy, did we have a good time. Everything from the delectable appetisers to the mouth-watering main courses was absolutely delicious!
Ramadan Buffet Dinner at Swiss-Garden Hotel Melaka
Swiss-Garden Hotel Melaka is located in the heart of Melaka City, just a stone's throw away from several must-see historical landmarks such as Jonker Street, Christ Church, and Sam Po Kong Temple, just to name a few. If you want to visit Melaka during the holy month, it is undeniably one of the best hotels for a staycation. This Ramadhan Buffet completely blew my mind with its diverse array of gastronomic delights. Even my picky children and demanding wifey praised this delectable Ramadan buffet spread.
Swiss-Garden Hotel Melaka's Buffet Menu
This year's Ramadhan Buffet theme that has been chosen by Swiss-Garden Hotel Melaka is "Citarasa Muhibah", which translates to The Flavour of Camaraderie. I know foodies will be astounded by the sheer amount of food available. Not only will you be able to feast on our favourite Malaysian dishes, but you will also be able to sample a plethora of international platters. In other words, you will be spoiled for choices.
Roasted Lamb With Black Pepper or Mint Sauce
Are you ready to enjoy the feast?
WARNING: This Ramadhan Buffet is ideal for those who want to overindulge in Melaka's finer cuisine. In other words, gluttons like me will devour all the food we can get our hands on. First and foremost, as soon as we were given the go-ahead, yours truly went straight to the roasted lamb station. As expected, there was already a long line of people with empty plates waiting to taste the delectable "Kambing Golek." The fragrant Kambing Briyani complemented the grilled lamb with its soft, fluffy texture. There were three sauces to go with your Briyani rice and grilled lamb, and I chose the black pepper sauce, which made the entire dish even more enticing.

Those who prefer something more traditional will be pleased to learn that there will be nasi ulam available, as well as raw vegetables such as Kerabu Ayam Pantai Timur, Kerabu Telur, and Kerabu Pegaga just to name a few. The appetising Daging Salai Masak Lemak Cili Padi, herbaceous Kari Ikan Dengan Kacang Bendi, and the slightly spicy but aromatic Sambal Ayam Serai Serai Limau Purut are among the other main courses. I'm sure you're drooling by now, just like me. I was literally at a loss for words when deciding which cuisine to try. Decisions~Decisions!

Of course, this Ramadan Buffet Dinner served by Swiss-Garden Hotel Melaka has many more lip-smacking cuisines to gratify your hunger pangs. You will have the creamy mussel meuniere with mushroom, teriyaki chicken, deep-fried fish with three-flavour sauce, Kari Kambing Ubi Kentang, Wok-fried Buttermilk prawn, and Hong Kong Kailan with salted fish. The fiery curry brought out the meat's savoury flavour. Make sure you have a few servings of these. For those who enjoy skewered meat served with a distinctive chilli paste, there were also chicken and beef satays.

Kari Ayam
Roti Jala
Roti Prata
Murtabak Ayam
My kids ate the freshly made murtabak ayam with gusto. They had more than one serving, which was crunchy on the outside and incredibly tasty on the inside, thanks to its filling. My kids were busy dipping murtabak into the dal, so it must have been delicious. We then tried the amazing spread of sushi, which was also incredibly good. I am surprised that this Ramadan Buffet still offers Japanese delicacies for us to have more varieties. Those looking for a less spicy option can try western spaghetti and all kinds of pasta. I ordered mine with a chicken bolognese sauce on the side. I was so surprised when I bit into my pasta...it was so soft and springy at the same time-AL DANTE. The chicken bolognese sauce was so luscious that I kept spooning more into my gaping mouth.

We were almost full by that point...but our bloated stomachs weren't going to stop us from enjoying one of the best dishes at the Ramadhan Buffet-DESSERTS! Fancy a bowl of Ais Kacang or Cendol? You need Ice cream? You can get all of them here. You will also be able to feast on a royally luscious dessert banquet that reminds you of our Malaysian culture! Even if you ate every traditional Malay kuih available, I doubt you'd be able to finish them all. Jordan boy and Jasmine girl were clearly having a great time munching on these dainty, colourful kuih-muih.

Of course, the kids need to have ice cream! 😋
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they also serve traditional Malay Keropok. There were Kerepek Ubi Pedas, Kerepek Bawang, and Rempeyek, all of which were delicious. Another plus for me about Swiss-Garden Hotel Melaka is its coffee machines! Any hotel that provides a free flow of gourmet-style coffee deserves my attention and a mention. After my filling meals, I drank at least four cups of coffee. Unfortunately, there is a limit to how much I can drink. If I could stay longer, I'm sure I could have a few more lattes and cappuccinos. 😁

Let's Enjoy Our Ramadan Buffet Dinner!
Greta food and amazing ambience!
Overall, my family and I thoroughly enjoyed the good food here and hope to return to sample more of their delectable morsels of cuisines and desserts. To be honest, I feel bad because I didn't get to try all of the food here. Why? Because there were simply too many different kinds of divine food and not enough stomach space. If you're looking for one of the best Ramadhan Buffets in Melaka, yours truly highly recommends Swiss-Garden Hotel Melaka. Definitely a thumb up!

ReplyDeleteI sure enjoyed Ramadan buffets a long long time ago even though my first gout attack resulted from a feast of the lala at the one at Pearl International, Jalan Klang Lama -so very nice. Eat now, pay later. Unfortunately, for health reasons, my appetite has not been good so no more buffets, Ramadan or whatever, for me.
