Canon EOS R5 C Mirrorless Digital Camera

The Canon EOS R5 C mirrorless digital camera is scheduled to arrive in Malaysia next month and will be priced at RM19899.

Canon Malaysia has announced that the EOS R5 C, which was introduced in select regions earlier this year and would be available locally in March, will be available in the country in March. As a video-oriented variation of the original R5 model, it has the capability of recording footage in up to 8K quality. It is armed with an advanced active cooling mechanism that allows it to record high definition films for extended periods of time without overheating.

Canon EOS R5 C Arriving In Malaysia

To refresh your memory, the Canon EOS R5 C is a mirrorless digital camera that is equipped with the same full-frame 45-megapixel sensor as the previous generation. The Dual Pixel CMOS AF II technology and Digic X image processor from the firm are also included in the package. Unlike the original EOS R5, this particular edition, on the other hand, does not include an in-body stabilisation mechanism. Additionally, a mode switch has been added to the camera, which allows users to choose between the normal R5 mode for photography and the Cinema EOS mode for video capture.

Record Video in 8K at 30fps

The EOS R5 C is capable of delivering continuous burst shots at 12 frames per second utilising the mechanical shutter or 20 frames per second using the electronic shutter. It can also record in 8K at 30 frames per second on battery power and up to 60 frames per second when connected to an external power source. There are three separate 8K 12-bit RAW modes and a 10-bit XF-AVC mode for 4K movies available on the camera's internal memory. The fact that 4K or 1080p videos are oversampled from 8K for greater clarity and noise reduction should not be overlooked.

As previously stated, the camera is equipped with a new active cooling mechanism, which allows it to have a broader side profile than the R5 basic model. Its built-in 3.2-inch 2.1M dot TFT LCD vari-angle screen draws in cold air through an air inlet on the right side, which is subsequently vented out the left side. Apart from that, the EOS R5 C features a 0.5-inch 5.76M dot OLED electronic viewfinder, a dedicated timecode interface for multi-camera shooting, a multi-function shoe, CF Express (Type B) and SD UHS-II memory card slots, a USB-C port, a micro HDMI port, a microphone and headphone jack combo, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, among other features
