Oppo Find X5 Pro boasts a beautiful design, vibrant display and solid cameras. This Oppo flagship smartphone will be one to watch out for.

It is late February again and generally, it is known as "flagship season," so naturally, Oppo is starting off the season with the launch of the Find X5 Pro, a fresh new top-tier smartphone. The Find X5 Pro, which was announced ahead of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, which officially begins on February 28th, may cause some readers to be perplexed, considering Oppo's last flagship device was the Find X3 Pro, which was released in 2021. China believes the number four to be alarming, which may explain why the Chinese smartphone manufacturer missed it this year and instead chose to launch Find X5 immediately after.

The Oppo Find X5 Pro develops the previous year's model in terms of fundamental specifications. You will be mesmerized by the huge 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz refresh rate. Two 50-megapixel camera sensors are found on the rear of this device. However, there are several upgrades on the surface and the inside, making the new Find X5 Pro a formidable rival for the title of most powerful Android phone available. 6.7-inch AMOLED Display

Aside from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU, the Oppo Find X5 Pro also has Oppo's new Marisilicon X imaging neural processing unit (NPU), which the company claims helps with high dynamic range (HDR) photography and low light video. The rear camera system comprises two Sony IMX766 sensors with a combined resolution of 50 megapixels, one of which is used for wide-angle photography and the other for ultra-wide photography. There's also a 13-megapixel telephoto camera on the back for zooming in, and a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the front for taking selfies.

The cameras on the Oppo Find X5 are excellent, with precise details and accurate colours in good light and acceptable low-light and HDR shooting. The camera has a good amount of speed. It took only 0.2 seconds to record the low-light shot below, and it performed somewhat better than a lot of other smartphones in terms of colour fidelity; nonetheless, the photo might have been a bit crisper.

In Pro mode, you'll have access to Hasselblad's Natural Color Calibration, which is a feature that's not available in other modes. You also receive a pair of Master filters that have been tweaked by Hasselblad, albeit they are only usable in the camera's default Photo, Video, and Portrait modes, not in any other settings. However, not all settings are easily accessible on the camera interface, which has a million options (which includes the aforementioned Master filters, which are tucked behind the "retouch" icon).

However, while the curved edges of the display aren't the favourite feature for many people, the phone's ceramic back (which Oppo claims is scratch-resistant) is beautiful, especially in white. Even the large camera hump, which rises naturally and softly from the rear, appears to be in terrific shape. Even though the phone weighs 218 grammes, it feels exceptionally substantial and small in hand, just like a genuine flagship should.
