The announcement of the closure of the Jonker Walk which is arguably one of the famous tourist attractions in Melaka was really heart-breaking, to say the least. After all, this is not just another must-visit place in Melaka, it is the heart of we Malaccans. That's right! My family and I enjoy spending our time here, indulging in delicious food while sightseeing. Before the pandemic, we would be in Jonker Walk at least once per month.

The reopening of Jonker Walk coincides with the higher vaccination rates that we have locally and for the whole of Malaysia. The revival of this famous tourist spot in Melaka has the backing of a "Pink Soldier". Yes! A Pink Soldier from Squid Game is in Jonker Walk to make sure that we follow the rules of the game which is to wear masks and maintain proper physical distancing. Otherwise, that famous pink soldier will be shooting us with his nerf gun. LOL 😆
