Today is the day when all Malaysian students can finally return to their respective schools again albeit strict SOP by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and other necessary precautionary measures. After being trapped for 4 months at home, our Jordan boy and Jasmine girl can finally go to school this morning. The Covid-19 pandemic has really put the brakes on our lives for sure and that includes school-going children and teenagers who had to study from home. Although we have yet to full control the spread of the virus of in medical term-flatten the curve, students can no longer afford to not learn in a classroom.

Look at their happy faces knowing that they could finally return to school!

Our Jordan boy and Jasmine girl have been anticipating for their return to school for quite some time. Hence to be able to put on their school uniforms again really put a smile on their faces. After all, not every child in the world can be so lucky, right? Both of them are very well aware about the severity of this dreaded virus and know why they need to adhere to a lot of rules once they leave the comfort of their home. Still, to be able to meet their teachers and friends again has really excited them which was evident this morning.

As usual mommy is the first one to wake up to prepare breakfast and everything else for her 2 babies!

Let's go to school now (finally)!
Look at yours truly me who is still visibly sleepy. LOL 😂

Today, Jordan and Jasmine reverted to their old schedule, waking up at 6a.m. instead of the usual 8a.m. Both of them had had a long stretch of holidays "thanks" to the corona virus. Then again this morning, I could see the light in their eyes and feel their ecstasy as they got ready to go to school. After munching their breakfast, they hurriedly put on their black school shoes that had been "on vacation" for months as well. Then off they jumped into my car for me to ferry them to their long-awaited destination.

School is adhering to the strict SOP set by MOE.

The moment Jordan boy and Jasmine girl arrived at the doorsteps of their school, they pulled their bags and stormed into their school. However, their brisk walk was halted as each of the students needed to have their body temperature check. Once the infra-red contact-less thermometer gave the green light, they then proceeded to sanitize their hands before heading to their respective classes. Looking at them eagerly walking towards the directions of their classes to meet their teachers and classmates really warmed my heart. I am glad that we Malaysians (most of us) pulled together to make this happen; To let our little ones enjoy what they deserve-learning.

Social distancing is a must in schools

Daddy is here for you princess! Where's your kor kor (brother)?

If you are a Malaysian student, are you happy to be back in school? As for parents, I am sure you feel the same way like I do. Let us all do our part to ensure that we can flatten the curve and get the insidious Covid-19 virus under control. Wear your masks, use hand sanitizer, adhere to SOP and most importantly...the government should really make it mandatory for those who return or visit Malaysia to be quarantined at designated isolation centers for 2 weeks minimum. And please make mask-wearing mandatory as well! Do not deprive our children of their learning opportunities! Do not rob them of their childhood and future! PLEASE!

  1. They look like twins! Not identical twins. Did you give them new masks to change into in case the mask that they are wearing got wet?

  3. Here, many parents simply dump their children at school so early in the morning, still dark, teachers not in school yet...and they take their sweet time to come and get them - half an hour after the last bell, still no sign of them...and the teachers have to wait together with the students still around in the school till very late. Dunno why this kind of parents bother to have children in the first place.
