Examination Week For Jordan and Jasmine-Ganbatte Kudasai!

Jordan and Jasmine girl are busy preparing for their term exams this week. Guess it is getting increasingly more difficult for our kids these days. Still exams are important as yardsticks to let us gauge and see our standards.

If you have been wondering why I have been kinda MIA recently...blame it on our exam-oriented education system. Yupe! My Jordan boy and Jasmine girl are currently preparing for their examinations every single night since last week. The good news is, there are 3 more days to go (at the time of this writing) and I must praise my two little ones for their hard work and determination. It is not easy being my kiddos as daddy has expectations that they need to meet. :p

Raking their brains to answer questions...

Like I have mentioned, my wife and I really tried our best to drill our children to ensure that they can get good results in their examinations. Of course I am not hoping that they get 100% for all their subjects, but at least 80% and above. Bahahaha :D Am I aiming too high for them? As the saying goes, "Aim for the moon and you will land among the stars." Which is kinda funny now as we know that the stars are further away from us. Still...that's the logic, always try harder and you will not be regretful for not trying hard enough. :)

What they usually do when there is no exam-85% of the time!

Being in a Cluster School which churns out excellent students with remarkable results is not easy. That is why we need to ensure that our offsrpings are always on their toes so that they do not get left behind in their studies (or life later on). Of course we do not deprive them of their childhood time and playtime. In fact...Jordan and Jasmine play for almost every single day except for 2 weeks which is the week prior to the exam and the exam week. SEE? Hence I think they are actually playing too much. LOL :D

As for now...work hard ok! :)

We are glad that our children are used to having tonnes of homework, spelling and exams since their kindergarten years. Though play time is very essential during the formative years of our children, it is also vital for them to know the routines and norms of our world. So Jordan and Jasmine~daddy and mommy wish you all the best ok. One day you will look back and realize that whatever you have gone through before, now and in the future is for your own good.
