Manchester United recorded an impressive win over Aston Villa with a score of 3-1. Ander Herrera's brace and United's Captain Wayne Rooney stunning strike helped the Red Devils to cement their Champions League qualifications. Ander Herrera broke the deadlock in the 43rd minute, before Rooney doubled the host lead with his best goal of the season. Christian Benteke pulled one back for the Villains before Herrera scored another goal to seal all three valuable points for United.

The Red Devils have returned!

Despite being pressured in the final 20 minutes by Aston Villa for an equalizer, United never look like letting this victory slipping out of their hands. Ashley Young played very well against his former club while Herrera put in a commanding all-rounded performance to score his 6th and 7th goals of the season. Manchester United undoubtedly controlled the game withe a staggering 77% of possession and 19 attempts of shots on goal with 7 on target. These stats speak volume of United's urge to win this game!

The crown jewel of the day certainly belonged to Wayne Rooney who hit a jaw dropping goal into the back of the nets. He touched down Angel Di Maria's cross with his left foot and then made a sharp turn before smashing an unstoppable rocket first time with his right foot. This sweet victory moved Manchester United into third in the Premier League, ahead of their noisy neighbour-City though the latter have a game in hand. However the Red Devils' morale is high and I am sure we can gag our noisy neighbour in the upcoming derby.
