People Don't Fail So Much As Give Easily!

Here's a common story that you might have heard before...there were two men shipwrecked on an island. The moment they got onto the island one of them started screaming and shrieking...the 1st Man squawked , "Damm! We're going to die! We're going to die! There's no food! No water! Darn!!! We're going to die!" The 2nd man was propped up against a palm tree and acting so calmly that it drove the 1st man crazy! The 1st man uttered, "You don't understand? We are going to die!" The 2nd man unruffled and replied, "You don't understand; I make $100,00 a week." The 1st man, dumbfounded, looked at him and asked, "What difference does that make? We're on an island with no food and no water-we're going to DIE!" the 2nd man answered, "i make $100,00 a week, and I tithe 10%. My pastor will find."

You can climb anywhere as long as you want to!

When you are persistent, you know it, and so does everyone else. Never give up on what you really know you should do. Failure is waiting on the path of least persistence. The "man of the hour" spent many days and nights getting there: "My overnight success was the longest night of my life." Winners simply do what losers don't want to do at all...longer.

They're slow but they're steady.

Christopher Morley once said, "Big shots are only little shots that keep shooting." Persistence is simply enjoying the distance between the birth and fulfillment of your dreams and destiny. So an "overnight success" that we usually see is actually a process that take years to fulfill. We should be people of strong wills, not strong won'ts. Many of the world's great failures did not realized how close they were to success when they gave up. Stopping at 3rd base adds no more to the score than striking out.

Persistence is proof you have not been defeated. Always bear in mind that: "You have no right to anything you have not pursued, for the proof of desire is in the pursuit." Life holds no greater wealth than that of steadfast commitment. You cannot be robbed of it; you can only lose by your very own will. When faithfulness is most difficult, it is most necessary because trying times are no time to quit trying. The secret of success is start from scratch and keep on scratching. We rate people by what they finish, not by what they start.

~Earl Nightingale~

A young man once asked a great and famous older man,
"How can I make a name for myself in the world and
become successful?" The great and famous man replied:
"You have only to decide upon what it is you want and
then stay with it, never deviating from your course no
matter how long it takes, or how rough the road,
until you have accomplished it."

Success is found by holding on long
after others have let go.
