7even Cancer Preventation Diet Tips

A Cancer cell-A ruthless cannibal!

I must say that I hate cancer, very, very much!! The sound of it simply evokes bad memories. The evocation stirs the hatred that I have for this disease; this plague...a pestilence that no sane man want to have. To be brutally honest, cancer is a disease that is emotionally and physically debilitating! I know this. I saw it and I am very darn aware how blood-curdling this cantagion can be. Cancer had consumed my beloved mother! Trust me, it's better to die in a freak accident or a sudden heart attack rather than being gobbled up by cancer slowly. This cacodemon will kill you very slowly by "eating your body" bit by bit until you are unable to live anymore! Living with cancer is like living on borrowed time. In other words, once cancer is in you...your worst nightmare has began...

A life-wrecking nightmare...

But not to worry, Cancer is still a preventable disease. Lifestyle is the key for battling this malignant malady! And diet is one of the most important aspects we should look into in order to stave away from this fatal canker! According to Dr. Andrew Weil, a healthy diet can help the body in its efforts to heal itself, and in some cases, particular foods can strengthen the immune system and lessen the risks of serious illness. And here's his 7 diet tips to prevent some types of cancer.

Cut down on these killer foods!

7even Cancer Preventation Diet Tips!

1~Avoid polyunsaturated vegetable oils, margarine, vegetable shortening, all partially hydrogenated oils, and all foods that might contain trans-fatty acids (such as deep-fried foods).
2~Increase omega-3 fatty acids by eating more cold water oily fish, freshly ground flaxseeds, and walnuts.
3~Reduce consumption of animal foods and try to replace them with vegetable proteins such as whole soy products.
4~Use hormone-free, organically produced products whenever possible.
5~Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.
6~Eat shiitake, enokitake, maitake, and oyster mushrooms frequently.
7~Drink green tea daily.

Here's a good start. :)

So if you are those who always indulge in yummy but no-so-healthy foods, it's time to reconsider your diet. If possible cut down your intakes on those delicious-cum-deleterious foods. Surely your taste buds are the 1st ones to enjoy the insatiable flavours but it's surely not the 1st ones to get cancer-ed! Make your own choice. Getting cancer is 1 million times easier than winning a lottery! Anyone could get it. You could get cancer too...because after all, cancer is non-partisan...

Tekkaus, sorry to hear that your mom died from cancer. My brother-in-law died from liver cancer last year. Now my sister is a single mom with two children, so sad for them. A friend of mine also died from lung cancer 2 years ago. She suffered so much from the pain I can't even begin to describe it.

It's true cancer can befall anyone regardless of race, wealth and status. Your tips on cancer prevention are very useful. We really have to be careful about our diet nowadays.

I had planned to write a post on cancer earlier but kept putting it off due to the painful memory of what happened to my brother-in-law and my friend. But I think I will write one soon : )
