iQOO’s been in full teaser mode lately, and if you’ve ever followed a phone launch in China, you know how this goes: drip-feed specs, build hype, repeat.

iQOO Z11 Turbo Unleases 4x Lossless Zoom and a 32MP Selfie Shooter

This time, the company has confirmed the iQOO Z11 Turbo is launching in China on the 15th of  January, and the newest reveal is all about the cameras... plus a few extra software tricks that sound geared toward people who actually use their phone camera beyond “tap, post, done.”

Camera highlights: 4x lossless zoom (and up to 40x if you’re feeling brave)

According to iQOO’s official Weibo teasers, the rear camera setup will support:

  • 4x lossless zoom (iQOO’s wording—typically meaning minimal quality drop at that range)
  • Up to 40x magnification using software-based enhancements

Now, let’s be real: 40x is usually where you get into “I can kinda tell that’s a building” territory on most phones. But it’s still useful in a pinch... like grabbing a shot of a sign across the street or zooming into something on stage at an event.

AI camera features iQOO is pushing

iQOO also says the Z11 Turbo will come with a few AI-driven tools, including:

  • Cinematic storyboarding (think guided, stylized shots meant to look more “movie-like”)
  • Secondary photo recomposition in the gallery (basically AI-assisted reframing/cropping after the fact)

If you’ve ever taken a photo and realized the subject is slightly off-center after you got home, you can see why that second one could be handy.

Selfie camera: 32MP wide-angle with multiple focal options

On the front, iQOO is going with a 32MP wide-angle selfie sensor. What’s interesting is the built-in focal length options:

  • 0.8x
  • 1x
  • 2x

That’s a nice touch if you switch between solo selfies and small group shots a lot. Or if you prefer that slightly tighter framing that doesn’t exaggerate facial features as much.

Gaming connectivity: a big deal if you play on Wi‑Fi

A day before the camera details dropped, iQOO also highlighted gaming-focused connectivity. The Z11 Turbo will debut with:

  • Global Esports Network System 2.0
  •  Supported by the Thunder Z1 gaming signal enhancement chip

And here’s the headline claim: iQOO says it can reduce game stutter by 76.47% when a Wi‑Fi 5GHz signal has to pass through four walls.

Is that a very specific scenario? Absolutely. But also… weirdly relatable if you’ve ever tried playing in a bedroom while the router lives in the living room.

Expected iQOO Z11 Turbo specs (so far)

Alongside the camera and gaming teases, the rest of the rumored/speculated package looks pretty stacked:

Display

  • 6.59-inch LTPS OLED
  • 1.5K resolution
  • 144Hz refresh rate

Performance & memory

  • Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (tipped)
  • Up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM
  • Up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage

Battery & charging

  • 7,600mAh battery (expected)
  • 100W fast charging
  • Around 7.9mm thick and about 202g in weight (despite the big battery)

Other features

  • Ultrasonic 3D fingerprint sensor
  • IP68 + IP69 dust and water resistance ratings
  • Android 16 out of the box with OriginOS 6

What to watch for at launch

On paper, iQOO is positioning the Z11 Turbo as a phone that leans hard into two things people actually care about day-to-day:

  1. Usable zoom + smarter photo tools
  2. More stable gaming performance (especially on imperfect Wi‑Fi)

If pricing lands right, this could be one of those devices that ends up being talked about a lot after launch... especially among mobile gamers and spec-watchers.
