Believe it or not, Avira is the first ORIGINAL antivirus software that I have ever bought. In the past I have either installed the pirated antivirus software or grabbed the free version which is widely available. However I decided to get myself an original full-fledged Antivirus software because I am using the internet quite often every day. At least 3 hours of internet I guess. So I am actually exposing myself to tonnes of threats out there waiting to exploit the loopholes in my computer system, if any.

I believe you have known that this Avira is one of the 4 stuffs that I bought from the recent PC Fair. At first I wanted to buy Karspersky but then I found out that they are not the best in town and their brochures are very misleading. What a shame! After doing some research I straight away stormed to the Avira Booth and grab my very own Avira premium security suite. And since it was bought during the PC Fair, I got it for only RM63. Normally it will retail at RM99. :)

Why didn't stick to the pirated version of the software? Or why didn't I just use the free version of Antivirus? To answer the first question: it is because I am working right now, so I can afford to use the original antivirus software. :p Moreover some of these pirated antivirus are faulty and worse still they will not even protect your computers. The answer to the second question is because nothing is free. Yes, the free version of the antivirus software is very, very...should I say lousy. They are too limited. They didn't have the bells and whistles necessary to protect your computer from the sophisticated malicious attacks and intrusions that we face these days.
