Nowadays with the help our our plastic money-credit card, it is easier to be in debt right? What's more? It seems that more and more people are owning their own "sleep" right? What's wrong with us? Lately we can see a lot of our colleagues and classmates with puffy eyes right? They are not getting enough sleep because they are too immersed with their other more "important" activities such as blogging, tweeting, facebooking etc. Don't you know that lack of sleep can kill you? No kidding folks. :(
Like to party?
But fret not. Now, it is possible to pay back those sleep hours you have lost. If you have got a run of parties, functions or outings over several nights, you will certainly have to forfeit at least a few of your recommended 7 or 8 hours sleep a night. Get this, a few late nights in a row can lead to "sleep debt," leaving us terribly fatigued, irritable and unfocused. That spells trouble. A big one!
Not enough sleep!
On the bright side...like your other conventional debts, you sleep debt can be repaid. Firstly, if you know you have a few (must attend) big nights ahead, try to tack an extra hour onto your nightly sleep pattern so that you can have some sleep hours in the bank to be compensated later. Once your partying round has stopped, be sure to get some catch-up sleep again, by getting a couple of early nights in a row and making sure you get minimum of 7 or 8 hours in the nights following ok!
Even java can't help you...
Sounds easy right? But you'll need discipline to do this. You'd better start early if not it is very hard to repay the your debts which has been compounded with interest! If not you might end up sleeping forever. :(
